Founded by Wong Zi Yang, Shawn Teow, Soh Jan, and Nhat Vu in 2020, Upmesh helps merchants automate the capturing of orders and the collection of payments while selling physical goods on Facebook Live. Recently, the company expanded its functionality to Instagram Live.
To date, it has acquired hundreds of live commerce merchants in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The company said that its merchant base experiences a month-on-month growth rate of around 30%.
Upmesh plans to use the fresh funds to expand its presence in Southeast Asia, establish the mobile version of its platform, and launch more features such as analytics and logistics automation.
In October, the company raised US$3 million in seed funding from Leo Capital, Beenext, and Prasetia Dwidharma, among others.
