IDG Capital-backed crypto wallet firm bags $30m in Qiming-led round
China- and Singapore-based decentralized digital wallet provider imToken said it has raised US$30 million in fresh funding.

- The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development of its next iteration imToken 3.0, recruit talent, and build a research arm called imToken Labs.
- The firm claims it has enabled 12 million users from over 150 countries to manage blockchain- and token-based assets, identities, and data. It adds that over US$50 billion in assets are currently placed on the platform, with its total transaction value exceeding US$500 billion.
- While the company’s Linkedin page states that it is headquartered in Hangzhou, China, imToken moved its global headquarters to Singapore in June 2018.
- It established imToken Ventures in 2018 to invest in companies connected to the digital wallet ecosystem. In the same year, it facilitated over US$10 billion in total trading volume via its incubated project, a decentralized exchange called Tokenlon.
- ImToken closed US$10 million in a series A funding round from IDG Capital in 2018.
