KAISquare logoKAI Square, which specializes in multimedia surveillance data processing coupled with wireless computing has been awarded with the prestigious Top Winner Award at the OCBC Top Emerging Enterprises 2010.

KAI Square previously won the SiTF Award last year and was the first runner-up in the Open Category of the 10th Start-Up@Singapore 2009 national business plan competition.

Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Manpower and Minister in charge of Entrepreneurship, presided over the OCBC awards ceremony which took place last night (17th May 2010) at the Mandarin Orchard Hotel.

The 3 winning companies, joining KAI Square are MAJ Aviation Pte Ltd and Udders Ice Cream, will each receive S$390,000 worth of prizes (the largest to date). This comprises of an interest-free loan, educational and development grants, business consulting services, as well as brand and product development research services.

According to Mr Tan Chor Sen, OCBC Bank’s head of emerging business, the winning teams were chosen based on their ability to leverage on their small size to run a nimble company, which has proven its mettle by changing quickly in response to the markets needs. Also, the winners embraced new innovation to build better products such that they were able to break new frontiers, conquer strongholds of larger players and capture market share.

JUZZ4_logoEstablished in 2006 by Neo Shi Yong and Victor Goh Hai Kiat, KAI Square launched the JUZZ4 Platform Series which currently has 4 products under its name. The JUZZ4 platform includes JUZZ4Sercuity (Web Based Surveillance), JUZZ4Logistics (providing total turnkey solutions catering to real – time information arising in the logistics and transportation sector), JUZZ4Commuinication and JUZZ4Media (to be launched this year).

Despite their small stature and young age, KAI Square has been making waves in the scene with them picking up the Top 3 Asia Most Promising Security Startup (GSC 2009 by London Business School) in October last year.

The prize awarded will be beneficial in terms of providing KAI Square with needed resources and business know-how to further build on their capabilities to scale new heights.
