- Popular dating app Tantan has been taken down from major Android app stores, reported TechNode, citing multiple Chinese media outlets.
- However, the app was still available on Apple’s App Store and Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s Mi Store as of this morning.
- Tantan responded by saying that the takedown was due to “violations” and that it would work to rectify the issues. However, the company did not explain what the violations were.
- In February 2018, Tantan was acquired by its larger rival Momo in a $600 million buyout. Tantan had 3.9 million paying customers as of 2018.
