Tolalu.com Adds Kids Names on Gifts, Makes You Look Like a Loving Parent

Personalizing gifts can be really tough, especially when you’re a busy parent looking for gifts for your very own kids. And if you can’t hand make them, then it will always help if you at least include their names on the gifts. Here’s one service which I recently discovered that does just that.

Tolalu.com is a new e-commerce site selling children’s products that allows you to engrave your kids’ name very quickly on gifts. Just type his or her name and ta-dah, your kid’s name is on the gift. All that’s left to do is to pay and wait for it to arrive at your door.

I created a customized ABC learning book for baby Willis on the right as an example. (I didn’t have such a cute one when I was young.) Any user can quickly visualize what he or she is paying for.

Besides learning materials, Tolalu also offers other products including stickers, puzzles, placemats, notebooks, and calendars. This new Singapore-based start-up was launched just last week, as Orly Eitan announced in a LinkedIn Group:

Hi guys, I am launching a new online business in Singapore for kids named: www.tolalu.com. Would love to hear your opinion of the site.

In the note, Eitan didn’t explain Tolalu’s great customization feature, which I believe is the key differentiator of her business. Nonetheless, my curiosity led me to the site and I’m pretty impressed with its simple approach. Upon landing on the page, you will be greeted with a clean text box page to fill in your kid’s name before shopping. It makes online shopping fun because the name is engraved on all the products as you hunt for the right one.
