Tech in Asia COO Andrew Wang (left) hands over the cash to the winning team. Arpit Jain (right), an IIT graduate, won it for his pitch for adtech startup Greedy Game.

After two hours of pitching and deliberating, the judges at the inaugural Tech in Asia Bangalore conference declared India-based Greedy Game the winner of the Arena contest. The startup beat six other young teams for the US$10,000 prize.

Exploride nabbed second place. Third prize went to Nsmiles, which was also selected as the fan favorite over Twitter.

These are all seven startups that took part in Arena this afternoon:

  • Exploride is a heads-up display for drivers.
  • FRS Labs helps mobile banking and other fintech apps get a biometric authentication feature which can establish the identity of the user with a one-click selfie.
  • Greedy Game puts clever virtual ads in games, like billboards in racing games.
  • Gumption Labs uses artificial intelligence based algorithms for managing personal financial investments.
  • My Didi trains women to be house-staff, gives them apprenticeship opportunities to hone their skills, and finds them suitable placements.
  • Nsmiles can measure your stress level, figure out if you’re about to buckle under pressure, and help you overcome it to be emotionally well.
  • Spareshub is an ecommerce marketplace for automobile spare parts.
