TI4: Newbee to upper bracket, five Chinese teams in the main event

The International 2014 (TI4) is both prestigious and harsh. Team Titan, the pride of Southeast Asia, has fallen. Natus Vincere (Na’Vi), the Roshan of the International, is heading to the main event via the lower bracket for the first time. And with Newbee’s 2-1 win over Invictus Gaming (iG), there will be three Chinese Dota 2 teams in the upper bracket of the main event.

With the conclusion of the playoffs, TI4 will now move on the main event, with best-of-three matches played at the Key Arena. Vici Gaming chose to fight Team Newbee in the upper bracket. Check out who’s against who in the main event:

There will be a three-day break before the main event kicks off, with the upper bracket matches beginning on July 18, 9:00 AM PDT (July 19, 12:00 midnight, GMT+8). With the timezone against Asian fans, these three days may be your cue to rest up in preparation for four days of fierce matches at the main event. The teams will be fighting for an almost $5 million first prize of the $10 million prize pool with the following distribution:
