Mobile social network, mig33, was mentioned again and again at Startup Asia Jakarta last Thursday and Friday. The mig33 love doesn’t just happen at our conference. Users love the service so much that they set up Tenda 33, a mig33 hawker/cafe at Kroya, a small city located at Central Java.
I was told by Kiki Rizki, mig33’s Indonesian rep, that users @ekaceria, @meshy_girl, @jozky and @femo.cuby created the cafe to make it a common hangout area for their community starting from 5pm onwards. In my coffee chat session last Friday, co-founder and CEO, Steven Goh, revealed that mig33 has over 56 million registered users with half of those in Indonesia. The mobile social network is also adding one million users each month.
