S2 Games uses its games Strife and Heroes of Newerth to help the Philippines

“The Philippines have been major supporters of S2 Games and Heroes of Newerth over the years, and now it’s our turn to step up and lend a hand,” reads the post on donationto.com. And how better can S2 Games do that than with its biggest money makers, its games?

The game developer is giving back to the disaster-struck Philippines by offering Strife closed beta keys and limited edition Heroes of Newerth avatars to people who donate via its page. Every $10 given enters the donor for the draw, and S2 Games will be matching the amount donated dollar for dollar.

“One hundred percent of donations will go towards the purchase and distribution of AquaPails, small filtration systems that can filter 5000 gallons into clean, consumable drinking water,” the page says.

The first $1,000 tier of donations has already been unlocked, with five givers qualifying for a limited edition Heroes of Newerth avatar of their choice. The next tier, $5,000, will give 10 donors a Gold avatar of their choice; the final tier tips the scales at $10,000 and will give twenty donors any avatar of their choice from the Heroes of Newerth store.
