Tech in Asia City Chapters(Seoul) – B2B Startups in Korea(Panel)
Hello Seoul! This quarter, we’re back and bringing another meetup featuring a Panel of B2B experts from Cloudike, Newsystock and Solidware.
B2B startups as a whole don’t make the headlines as much as their B2C counterparts. However, one of Seoul’s best kept secrets is undeniably the vibrant B2B startup scene that is bringing the latest technology to SME’s and conglomerates alike. The panel will look at the Korean B2B market talking about what makes it special and the best paths to success.
Here are the panelists for this meetup:
Eugene Kim – Partner, Sparklabs – Eugene is a Partner of Sparklabs and managed the day-to-day operations of the Sparklabs accelerator program. He previously served as a Director of Global Business Development at Tencent Korea. Prior to Tencent, Eugene was Director of Business Development and Marketing at Podotree, an online educational app developer in Korea. He was responsible for their marketing launch effort into the U.S.
Ryan Moon – CEO, Newsystock – Ryan has years of experience as a senior business consultant at PwC. He also worked with companies such as Polaris Securities (now Yuanta Securities), at the Asset Management Department in the Hong Kong office. Ryan holds a B.S in Management Information Systems from Yonsei University and is an alumni of Draper University.
Sun Ung Lee – Founder, Cloudike – Dr. Sun Ung Lee is a tech industry veteran, with stops at Accenture and the Telecom and Electronics division at LG. At Cloudike, Sun Ung directs the Korea office and manages development and operations for Cloudike’s business cloud software, Cloudike EFSS. He holds a B.S and M.S from KAIST as well as a Ph.D from Imperial College London.
Moderator: Erik Cornelius – COO, G3 Partners – Erik has worked at B2B services and software companies for over a decade in Korea, serving clients ranging from Samsung to Startups. He is Co-founder and CEO at G3 Partners, where he helps promising companies tell their stories to the world through marketing, communication and strategic support.
