This online pitch segment gives you a chance to become a finalist at Arena for Tech in Asia Tokyo 2016. The winning startup is eligible to receive an investment of 100,000USD from 500 Startups.
About Tech in Asia ARENA:
Tech in Asia ARENA is a startup competition where we scour the entire Asian region to pick top startups to pitch on the Tech in Asia conference stage. Participating startups get instant exposure to hundreds of investors, international media, and potential customers. The ARENA competition will be held during the Tech in Asia Tokyo 2016 conference this September 6 and 7 at Belle Salle Garden Shibuya.
The winner of Tech in Asia will be eligible to receive an investment of 100,000 USD from 500 Startups.
Who should pitch:
Software and hardware startups from Asia.
You are welcome to pitch as long as your company:
- Has a working prototype
- Has raised less than US$1.5 million of external funds
- Has an innovative solution, proven traction, and a strong team
Who you’re pitching to:
David Corbin – Director of Content Strategy at Tech in Asia. David coordinates the conference speakers and sessions for the annual events in Singapore, Bangalore, Tokyo, and Jakarta. He also selects and trains the ARENA finalists.
Vishal Harnal – Partner at 500 Startups. Vishal is based in Singapore and manages 500’s South-East Asia focused Durians fund, though which he invests in the region’s most talented, passionate founders and promising, high-growth startups. In two years, 500 has invested in over 120 companies in the region including flagships Grab, Carousell, Bukalapak, KFit and 99.co.
