Hi TIA,

We are Zeeshan and Imran Ali Khan, the Co-Founders of Zameen.com, Pakistan’s largest and pioneering real estate website. We founded the portal in 2006 in a tiny apartment in Lahore and we’ve come a long way since then. Today, we’re spearheading a team of around 400 people, have offices in 9 and presence in 24 major cities, and over 3 million monthly visits.

Building a multi-million dollar enterprise has been quite a ride… and we’d do it all again if we could (actually, maybe we will)!

Here are some interesting details about Imran:

• My wife and I are parents to three adorable little sons (there’s a set of identical twins in the equation!).
• While I’ve worked for companies such as Deloitte and Goldman Sachs, I’ve also flipped burgers at McDonalds and toiled behind the counter at Boots UK. Talk about extremes! Or are they really?
• When I was at Deloitte in London, a senior partner told me that if I aligned my passion with my profession, I’d always be successful. I took this piece of advice to heart and promptly quit the next day.
• I love Star Wars and Star Trek with equal intensity. Yes, I’m a rarity.
• I have a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Oxford.

Here are some interesting details about Zeeshan:

• My wife and I are parents to two beautiful kids – a boy and a girl.
• I started my first business right after college but I, too, have worked at McDonalds and Boots UK as well as a stint at NEXT.
• I started investing in virtual stock markets while still in college.  There were ups and downs but at the end of the day I broke even.
• I love cricket and even played for one of the leagues in the UK.
• My favourite pastime is watching movies with my family. Anything related to Sci-Fi and I’m happy.
• I have a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London.
• At Imperial, I created the Chemical Engineering Society’s website.
