    Hackathons in Asia – Boon or Bane?

    Lately, we have been seeing more and more hackathons being organised in Asia. Last month, there were at least 4 hackathons in Singapore – PayPal, Emirates, MasterCard and DBS. Having organised a few such events myself at Tech in Asia and liaised with multiple tech companies, I realised that sometimes the intention to organise a hackathon is perhaps misguided.
