53 features your local business website must have (Infographic)
These days, it seems like almost everybody knows what the best practices on designing a business website are, but it’s actually the subtle fine tuning that makes the difference. So to make sure that your local business site stands out, you must be careful not to miss the essential features that make it user-friendly to your potential customers.
I work for WebAlive, an Australian web design company, and we recently published an infographic that presents a detailed list of these features.
It begins with some basic but crucial features that many local businesses tend to ignore (i.e. choosing a country-specific domain, having a clear navigation bar on each page, and featuring a relevant heading, among others). Then it goes into more technical features like integration of Google Analytics, proper URL structure, SEO best practices, and LocalBusiness Schema.
These features are chosen based on an extensive research on a number of successful local business websites. And there are also pieces of advice on things that a website should avoid.
You can treat the infographic below as a useful guide for both you and your developer.
