I just saw on Techcrunch that 500 Startups just hired two Vietnamese-Americans. One of the guys is Eddie Thai (formerly worked at CJ, the Korean conglomoerate) and has been based in Vietnam for the last few years and Binh Tran, the cofounder of Klout (which exited for $200 million), is new to Vietnam. It’s an interesting match up. There isn’t an official fund yet, but I bet a 500 Pho is coming.
