Jeffrey Paine, partner at Founder Institute and director at Battle Ventures, is negotiating a possible sponsorship for us (thanks!).
If successful, our travel expenses (excluding personal) will be sponsored in half. So far, we can only confirm that this possible sponsorship covers just accommodation. The registration deadline is this Wednesday, 11.59pm, Singapore time.
Here’s the thing, the more registrations we have, the better the leverage and negotiation power. SXSW would be a priceless experience for many of us. Also note that Singapore will have its own SXSW booth this year. The start-ups that are featured aren’t announced yet. We’ll update as we learn.
What: SXSW Interactive is one of the most celebrated tech events. It focuses on emerging technology and has earned itself a reputation as a breeding ground for new ideas and creative technologies.
When: March 11 to 15
Where: Daytime panel programming, the SXSW Trade Show and the SXSW ScreenBurn Arcade take place at the Austin Convention Centerlocated at 500 E. Cesar Chavez. Additional panel programming and special events also take place at the Hilton Austin Downtown, which is located right across the street from the Austin Convention Center at 500 East 4th Street. Evening events will occur at the Hilton and at various nightspots around the city.
