Google Wants You To Vote For The Next BIG Idea

As part of its 10th Birthday celebration, Google launched a very ambitious initiative called Project 10^100 last year.

The purpose was to foster and reward ideas that could improve the world. $10 million will be shared among five selected ideas for the implementation of the projects (not the individuals who submitted the ideas).

Initial response exceeded all expectations with Google receiving more than 15,000 ideas in more than 25 languages.

About 3,000 Google employees from several offices around the world reviewed the massive number of submissions.

Your Vote Is Needed!

According to Google’s spokesperson, Jaime Wood, they are now back on track and are committed to announce the next phase of competition within a month.

To make the whole evaluation process simpler, Google has decided to organize selected submissions into 16 “big ideas”, and it’s asking for your vote.

Your vote for one of these ideas will help Google choose up to 5 projects to fund. After which, they will launch a request for proposal (RFP) to identify the best suited organizations to implement them. You have until 8th of October to cast your vote!

• Make government more transparent
• Create real-time natural crisis tracking system
• Help social entrepreneurs drive change
• Drive innovation in public transport
• Make educational content available online for free
• Build real-time, user-reported news service
• Create more efficient landmine removal programs
