Sung-Bong Choi is the latest Asian to become a sensation on the web. His performance on Korea’s Got Talent was uploaded to YouTube on June 4 2011 and within 7 days, the video has gotten about 5 million views.
According to YouTube’s analytics, Sung-Bong Choi’s YouTube video first went viral on Facebook before the Reddit folks made it viral on the social bookmarking site.
Interestingly, Vietnamese news and social network, Zing.vn also played a part to help make the video viral, racking up 85,000 views so far. Sung-Bong Choi’s viral video is somehow similar to Susan Boyle’s stunning performance two years ago at Britains got talent.
But of course, Susan Boyle’s performance was far more viral, generating over 60 million views on YouTube to date. That said, there is still a long way for him to go as the competition in Korea has only just started. Keep going, Sung-Bong Choi, the world will be watching you on YouTube.
