Summon Auntie Upgrade Lets you Message Car Owners by their Plate Number

summon-auntieSummon Auntie, an app to help Singaporean drivers evade parking meter attendants, has officially launched the fifth version of its app. It has a new design, looking sleek with shades of white and grey, along with the integration of NotePlate, a messaging platform.

Now, apart from allowing you to take precautions from getting a parking ticket, the NotePlate platform allows you to communicate with other drivers through car plate numbers. For instance, if you notice that a car has a punctured tire – or has a smokin’ hot babe in the driver seat – you will be able to send a message to that car owner using NotePlate@SummonAuntie. But, it will only be viewable, of course, if the other party uses the Summon Auntie app as well.

Regarding the update, I spoke to a good friend of mine, Ron Wee, who heads sales and marketing at Replaid (the company behind the Summon Auntie app):

With the integration of NotePlate, we hope this would better facilitate communication with other drivers. So if someone leaves his or her headlights on, kind users of Summon Auntie would be able to leave these drivers a message to tell them.

And he’s also all ecstatic about getting user feedback on the new updated app, and adds:

We’re anticipating a growth in the number of users after this integration. I think this is extremely useful for Singaporean drivers out there.

Another thing that caught my attention was that the app doesn’t have a fourth version. I had a good laugh when I read the iTunes description:
