In 2021, Bobby Yulandika Putra sat across from Indonesian regulatory examiners who flagged a repeating control gap at his bank. Manual workflows and disconnected software made risk management nearly invisible until audit day.

Recognizing the market need, he launched Prospero to automate regulatory compliance. He later partnered with software engineer Paul-Adrian Mandravel in 2025 to build out the platform.

😟 Problem

Around 98% of over 129,000 financial institutions in Indonesia rely on spreadsheets for risk management. These manual workflows delay risk reporting by weeks, creating damage weeks before anyone can act on it.

Existing enterprise tools like IBM OpenPages and MetricStream cost upwards of US$90,000 annually. These platforms take up to two years to deploy and lack native alignment with regional regulators.

💡 Solution

The startup offers a cloud-native risk intelligence platform that consolidates five separate tools into a single workflow. The platform’s features include:

  • Automating risk assessments and generating risk registers in real time.
  • Monitoring risk indicators through an early warning system integrated via API.
  • Triggering automated issue management and assigning personnel when risk thresholds are breached.
  • Providing certified curricula and strategic advisory services for risk practitioners.
