India co-living space operator receives add-on investment for pre-series A round
StayAbode, an India-based co-living space provider, has raised an undisclosed amount in additional funding for its pre-series A round. Voyage Group and Incubate Fund as well as existing investor Akatsuki participated in the round.
Founded in 2016, StayAbode currently has 1,200 beds in more than 19 properties across Bangalore. It plans to add another 1,000 beds within the next six months.

The startup claims that it supports “the lifestyle of the young, single sociable household with a sense of community through shared spaces.”
In July 2018, StayAbode raised the first close of its pre-series A round from Japanese gaming company Akatsuki, Morgan Stanley’s head of real estate Vineet Sekhsaria, and Anupam Mittal, CEO of new media and entertainment company People Group. The company didn’t share details about the investment amount.
