PasarPolis secures partnerships and funding from three Indonesian unicorns (Indonesia). The insurtech company said Go-Jek, Traveloka, and Tokopedia have invested in its series A round, but it didn’t reveal the amount. Founded in 2015, PasarPolis’ platform allows users to compare and purchase insurance policies. (PasarPolis)

Regulator accepts Grab-Uber deal but with conditions (The Philippines). Among the conditions that the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) handed out to Grab was how the ride-hailing firm shouldn’t impose prices that can be considered an “extraordinary deviation” from the minimum allowed fare. The PCC warned that Grab will be slapped with a fine if it violates the conditions. (The Philippine Star)
50 firms with ICO projects interested in applying for operating licenses (Thailand). The country’s Securities and Exchange Commission said the 50 firms have indicated that they want to launch initial coin offerings, but it didn’t confirm whether they will all be given licenses to run such projects. Lalamove officially rolls out delivery services in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The “last-mile” company claimed that its deliveries take less than an hour for distances under 10 kilometers. Lalamove said it currently supports more than 200 businesses in Malaysia’s capital, and receives an average of 300 orders daily. (Lalamove)
