Mumbai-based startup Diabeto developed a smart blood sugar tracker that plugs into an array of glucometers. The bird-shaped device then wirelessly beams data and readings to the free mobile app. The startup is currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo.
2. Projects.co.id | Indonesia (Techlist Profile)
Apart from letting users earn money by working on projects for people around the world, freelancers on Projects.co.id can also sell digital products that they’ve created on the site. These can be pretty much anything, with listings on the site ranging from mobile games on Google Play and the App Store to templates for Adobe – and even birthday party invitation designs.
3. FreshMonk | Singapore (Techlist Profile)
Singapore-based startup Freshmonk is an online platform that’s a cross between Threadless and Kickstarter. The site aims to make designing, selling, and shipping T-shirts as easy as possible. Users slap on a design onto the shirt using an online tool. They then determine the price of their product and start a crowdfunding campaign. Freshmonk handles everything: fulfillment, payments, and delivery.
4. Freightos | Hong Kong (Techlist Profile)
Founded in 2012, Freightos is the first company in the world to offer instant quotes for end-to-end freight shipping. Users just have to type in what they are shipping and where they want it to go, and a quote will be given in seconds. Routes and pricing are automated.
5. Lenddo | Philippines (Techlist Profile)
Since its launch three years ago, Philippine startup Lenddo has become known for developing an algorithm that determines people’s credit worthiness based on their social media presence. Lenddo’s platform also helps employers quickly validate the information work applicants provide them.
6. AsmaraKu | Indonesia
AsmaraKu is an Indonesian ecommerce site for intimate goods and focuses on three key pillars: privacy, education, and logistics. Live since the middle of last year, the portal sells a variety of items related to romance and personal health including sexy underwear for both men and women, vibrating condoms, an assortment of lubricants, and pregnancy testing kits.
