If haven’t brought yourself to give to the Japan earthquake relief effort, here’s yet another reason to help out. Gamers Heart Japan is a global effort by well-known video game developers, reviewers, and other personalities to verbalize their love affair with Japanese gaming.
They’ve put together a one-hour video below showcasing some of the most influential Japanese titles in gaming history. Admittedly the gaming industry doesn’t really have much to do with people who are struggling up in Sendai. But if you feel like Japanese gaming or Japanese culture has enriched your life in even the smallest way, this would certainly be a great way to express your thanks.
Watching this video, there are many of these titles that I didn’t even realize were Japanese. If I had to choose my favorite game from my childhood, I’d probably have to pick Shinobi for the Sega Master System. And it’s not just because I grew up to become an actual ninja.
But seriously folks head over to the Red Cross website to donate, and then settle in with some popcorn and give this video a watch.
