Swagtacular: Capcom reveals Resident Evil HD Remaster’s three Asia-exclusive physical editions
Capcom today revealed details about the upcoming Resident Evil HD Remaster’s Asia-exclusive physical editions. Releasing on November 27 in both Japan and Asia as Biohazard HD Remaster, there will be three versions of the release for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. In the West, the game will be digital-only and release only some time next year.

The regular edition is just that—the game, on a physical disc—and is priced at HK$238 (around $31). A limited premium edition containing a 27” Resident Evil umbrella will have its price point decided by retailers.
Umbrella Corporation-themed umbrellas are already available for purchase on Capcom’s online store, but being bundled with the HD Remaster’s local version gives Asian gamers the opportunity to pick one up without paying international shipping fees. Besides, a Biohazard umbrella might be just the thing when visiting one of the mainland’s heavily polluted cities during the rainy season!
The third physical version is priced at HK$308 (roughly $40), and contains a 48-page art guidebook, a B2-size floor map, and a special box.
Considering that this is the third time the Resident Evil remake has been released, it’s somewhat impressive that Capcom is lavishing this much attention on the title, at least in Asia. But then, fans had been hoping for years for a non-Nintendo HD remaster of the title that was considered one of the Gamecube’s finest. It’s reassuring to see that Capcom appears as enthusiastic about the game as many of its fans.
