Predict Who Will Win Singapore General Elections 2011 On AllDealsAsia

It’s 3 more days to Polling Day for the Singapore General Elections 2011. While the various parties, candidates, rallies and constituencies being fought over are on everyone’s lips, Facebook and Twitter accounts, daily deal site, AllDealsAsia has “an unbiased, randomized casual voting platform” for people to “predict who will win this Singapore Elections 2011”.

Each candidate has their profile picture, year of birth, party represented, occupation, constituency contesting in, along with a bio displayed.

You can sort by parties and apparently check out the “most popular” candidates.

This feature absolutely failed for me though. Here, Nicole Seah (NSP) and Chiam See Tong (SPP) are at the top of the overall leaderboard, with 114 and 63 votes respectively. But Chen Show Mao (WP)’s 73 “likes” should have placed him above Mr Chiam. What’s up there?

I can’t seem to “vote” or “like” any candidate and I’m not sure as to the difference between the two. Maybe because of the “randomization”, as seen in their disclaimer below every candidate’s bio:

“Disclaimer: Your vote here does not represent your actual vote during Singapore Elections 7 May 2011 8am-8pm. This is an unbiased, randomized casual voting platform. Rest assure [sic] that your vote is anonymous here as we do not collect any user info. You can vote here every 15 min.”
