Konami's Singapore-made game Chain of Souls now available in the App Store

Less than a month after it was first announced, Konami’s latest card battle RPG game Chain of Souls is now officially available in the App Store for seven Asian countries —Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Japan — as well as three non-Asian countries —Spain, Australia, and Brazil. The game will be available in multiple languages as well, namely Japanese, English, and Simplified/Traditional Chinese.

Chain of Souls has a puzzle battle system which lets players connect multiple chains of colored crystals to issue attacks. A player must connect at least three similar colors before jumping over to another color. Three or more continuous chains allows a player to summon a friend card to activate its skill in battle.

There are different kinds of cards according to type, attribute, and levels of evolution, and these types can be combined to create brand new cards or abilities. The game cards have beautiful artwork and are based on mythological creatures and characters such as Beowulf, Siegfried, Perseus, and Athena.

Chain of Souls offers in-app purchases, but can be downloaded for free from the App Store. Unfortunately for Android fans, Chain of Souls will be iOS-exclusive. More information about the game can be found here.
