Seasoned Silicon Valley investors such as Greylock Partnersโ Dave Strohm, Meritech partner and managing director Craig Sherman, and Miasnik Ventures CEO Guy Miasnik participated in the round. Between them, the three have backed companies such as Facebook, Airbnb, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and Athoc.
Genetica is an AI-enabled genomic testing company that analyzes and decodes genes to help with personalized nutrition, sickness prevention, and childrenโs development planning, among others.
The startup says it has received more than 10,000 users within a few months of its tech going to market, and itโs now eyeing 10x growth in 2021. In addition to the new funding, Genetica said itโs currently in talks with select VC funds that can help it expand in Asia for additional capital.
The company is looking โto partner with those who genuinely understand the technology and pursue positive social impact in a long-term manner,โ said Geneticaโs founders.
Genetica was established by chief technology officer Tuan Cao, chief science officer Duyen Bui, and chief experience officer Giang Pham. The three co-founders bring with them experience from companies such as Google, Mekong Capital, and the University of California.
