This rare Mewtwo from Grand Indonesia Blitzmegaplex event is a must have

Indonesian trainers, it’s a long time coming, but the long awaited, one of a kind, movie-only Mystery Gift Pokemon can finally be caught in Indonesia!

In the past, we only dreamed of returning home from a Pokemon movie premiere with a new, exclusive, or rare Pokemon. Now thanks to Maxsoft, T-Joy, The Pokemon Company, and Blitzmegaplex, that dream has become a reality. In this case, the Pokemon is a rare Mewtwo, courtesy of its latest movie, Pokemon the Movie: Genesect and The Legend Awakened.

The movie is screened in many Blitzmegaplex cinemas, but the Grand Indonesia Mall theatre is the only cinema with Mewtwo up for grabs. We were there on premiere day and managed to snag the beast. And having received it into our bosoms, we have to say: don’t even think of missing out on it. Here’s why.

The Mewtwo from Indonesia’s first official Pokemon event is a level 100 Pokemon with the perfect timid nature with high speed but lowered attack. The lowered attack is fine since most of Mewtwo’s moveset is special-based attacks. The moves Psystrike and Ice Beam can be learned normally in the game (learned at level 100 for Psystrike and TM for Ice Beam), but Heal Pulse and Hurricane are only available on this particular Mewtwo.

Heal Pulse is a Psychic type move that can restore up to half of the target Pokemon’s hit points (HP). This is especially useful for Double Battles. If you use it in a one-on-one battle, it will heal the opponent’s HP instead.

Hurricane is a Flying type move that deals 120 Special Attack damage and can also confuse the target. Even though its accuracy is only 70, it’s effective against Bug type Pokemon, which are the bane of Psychic Pokemon like Mewtwo.

This special Mewtwo also holds a Custap Berry. If its HP falls below 25 percent, the berry lets Mewtwo move first regardless of the opponent’s Speed stat (unless they’re using a priority attack like quick attack).

The event Mewtwo will only be distributed on Wednesday, November 6 and Saturday, November 9. So if you missed it yesterday, put up a reminder, or even set an alarm and make sure you go to Blitzmegaplex Grand Indonesia this Saturday!
