Sega fanboys and girls get ready for the racer you’ve been waiting for. Sure today’s Mario Kart 8 announcement was cool and all, but Japan’s Nintendo Direct had something a bit juicier for you Sonic lovers.
Get ready for Sonic and Sega All-Star Racing Transformed!
This racer will allow you to play as one of the many characters from Sonic, Super Monkey Ball, Crazy Taxi, and if you look closely at the end there you can even see Ralph from Wreck-it-Ralph. Some of you may remember the 2010 release of Sega All-Star Racing for the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360, but this time around you are in for a whole new type of race. As the trailer shows, your vehicles will transform with the environment to provide a multitude of racing experiences. This includes everything from flying to boating, so get ready for one crazy ride.
Sonic and Sega All-Star Racing Transformed will allow up to ten people to race at once and even allow you to race with your Mii character. The game may have been released years ago in North America and Europe, but Sonic and Sega All-Star Racing Transformed will be available in Japan on the Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360 on May 15, 2014, and will cost roughly $70.
