SoftBank-backed Indonesian cloud kitchen firm bags funding from BRI Ventures
Yummy Corp, an Indonesia-based cloud kitchen company backed by SoftBank, announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount in an extended series B round.

- The latest round is an extension of Yummy Corp’s US$12 million series B round, which was led by SoftBank Ventures Asia in October last year.
- The Indonesian firm will use the fresh funds to expand its cloud kitchen service, Yummykitchen, to more than 50 new locations by the end of this year. The firm currently operates more than 70 cloud kitchens in the Greater Jakarta, Medan, and Bandung areas.

Yummy Corp CEO Mario Suntanu said Yummykitchen’s total transactions to date had increased 7x compared with March last year, when the pandemic first began spreading in Indonesia.

The company has also launched Yummyshop, which is an app that allows food sellers to manage online orders and receive payments. The cloud kitchen firm has also established a food court management platform that supports online transactions.
- In February this year, Yummy Corp partnered with Grab to expand both companies’ food and beverage businesses, besides developing new food concepts to be offered on GrabFood.
