A diverse bunch of startups raised funding today, including a beauty salon aggregator, a tech media publication, and a toolkit for app developers to spot bugs before it’s too late.

Hansel.io

Hansel Software raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding for its product, Hansel.io. The round included Endiya Partners, Tracxn Labs, and the founder of GSF accelerator Rajesh Sawhney. The funds will be used for hiring and marketing.

Founded by Varun Ramamurthy, Parminder Singh, and Mudit Mathur, Hansel.io helps mobile app developers manage apps while they’re running. This includes detecting bugs before it’s too late, which makes it easier for developers to improve user experiences.

Varun explained to Techcircle.in that the app hopes to fix the  loss of control that developers face when things start breaking within their apps. Instead of having to launch a new update Hansel.io allows for real time management.

Inc42, an online media publication that writes about technology startups across India, raised money in a pre-series A round of funding today. The round involved 42 investors, including Unicorn India Ventures, Mohandas Pai-led Aarin Capital, the two founders of mobile topup site Freecharge, the founders of InMobi, and the Singapore Angel Network.

The two year old startup was founded by Utkarsh Agarwal, Vaibhav Agarwal, and Pooja Sareen. Outside of its publication, it also hosts events to help support India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem.

Stylofie

Beauty and wellness startup Stylofie received an undisclosed amount of funding today from Jaideep Mehta, the managing director of IDC South Asia. Launched in September 2015, the startup aggregates existing beauty salons on its platform and allows customers to book appointments on the site itself.

According to Jaideep, beauty and wellness in India is a US$10.5 billion industry in India growing at a yearly rate of over 20 percent. “While most startups are promoting the ‘salon at home’ concept is set to disrupt the way consumption of beauty and wellness happens in the current model, which is a significantly larger opportunity,” Jaideep explained in a press release. Jaideep Mehta will join Stylofie’s board of directors and will also mentor the management team.

The Gurgaon-based startup claims to have onboarded 250 salons and over 20,000 consumers after acquiring its competitor Hyve earlier this year. They plan to expand across the Delhi NCR (National Capital Region) later this month and prepare for series A funding.
