Singapore-based food tech startup Life3 Biotech has appointed entrepreneur Jim Rogers to its board of investors.
Experience:
- Rogers is a Singapore-based international investor and financial expert who saw returns of 4,200% over 10 years through Quantum Fund, a hedge fund he had founded alongside billionaire George Soros.
- He is also the creator of the Rogers International Commodities Index, a US dollar-based index of commodity futures.
More details:
- Life3 is the first alternative protein company that Rogers is advising.
- The startup also said it’s rapidly expanding, with its pilot factory ready to house its US$3 million processing line as it aims to scale up its proprietary protein Veego.
- The development comes after Life3 launched its first consumer product Peasy, a meat alternative made primarily from pea protein, in December last year.
