Five Singapore-based players (and one Malaysian) swept the podium finish over the weekend at the Heavyarm Gundam Extreme VS Full Boost tournament in Malaysia.
The Singapore contingent had travelled up north especially for the tournament, and lacking a sixth player for their third team, enlisted Malaysian player Naoto.
The tag team tournament, which took place just yesterday at the Heavyarm game store in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, saw a total of 22 teams, or 44 players, signing up for some intense mecha combat. Singaporean teams Densetsu and Zulu Impact fought closely for the coveted top position, with Densetsu resetting the bracket in the finals and winning 3-2.
The tournament closed with teams Densetsu, Zulu Impact, and Mr. Poh walking away with RM300 (about $93) in both cash and Heavyarm store vouchers, as well as Gundam Extreme Vs.: Full Boost steel cases.
