In brief: Singapore real estate startup raises seed funding
- Workspace market platform GorillaSpace has received an undisclosed amount from a seed funding round led by Japanese real estate developer Mitsubishi Estate Co (MEC) as it looks to triple its listings and expand geographically, The Business Times reports.
- Singapore-based interactive media company Silversea Media Group was among the other investors.
- The investment from MEC is part of their initiative to discover new business projects and to develop synergy with existing businesses. MEC has already committed 10 billion yen (US$100 million), including the investment in GorillaSpace.
- GorillaSpace offers both long-term office spaces, flexible workspace options, and a hybrid of the two categories, which is getting a lot of attention in corporate real estate circles.
