Singapore PHP User Group Meetup – Dec 2008

• Software development the Wiki Way – Nelson Ko, President and CEO, Citadel Rock Online Communities Inc. – How agile software development philosophies overlap with wiki philosophy, and how it is applied in the context of an open source project like TikiWiki.

About The Speaker:

Nelson is the President and CEO of Citadel Rock Online Communities Inc., a company providing online collaboration and social media solutions for customer support, events, and alliance coordination. He is an admin of the TikiWiki open source community, which develops the software behind Citadel Rock’s solutions. He is also the development lead for Firefox Support at Mozilla, a pioneer in open source customer support.

Nelson has previously held positions in organizations such as Hewlett-Packard, and Singapore Telecom, and successfully architected leading-edge solutions brought to market across the world for companies such as Trans World International Interactive and Telstra.

Nelson holds a M.A. Economics degree from the University of Toronto, graduated with top honours in Economics from the National University of Singapore, and is currently working on a dissertation “Knowledge flows and social capital in wiki communities” in the Technology Innovation Management program at Carleton University.
