Singapore may have a Hearthstone Fireside Gathering after all

Hearthstone community website Hearthstone Alley and Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) will be bringing a Fireside Gathering to the Serangoon Public Library at NEX mall in Singapore this Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

After an appeal by Hearthstone Alley over the lack of a venue for a Fireside Gathering, numerous groups, SCOGA included, stepped up to offer venue options.

Blizzard Entertainment introduced Fireside Gatherings last month to encourage real-world gatherings of Hearthstone players. This alternative form of social interaction is meant for players to meet, mingle, and create new bonds all while enjoying the game itself. Previous Fireside Gatherings have been known to have multiple player pools (beginner and advanced groups) or mini-tournaments.

Players who attend any Fireside Gathering across the world will be able to attain the Fireside Friends card back, and the Singapore gathering is no exception. For the anti-social, this card back can also be attained through playing three games against other players on a subnet that has at least three players inside.

However, there’s no reason not to attend the Fireside Gathering in Singapore if you’re a Hearthstone player. The Singapore gathering will have a mini tournament as well as meet-and-greet sessions with local competitive Hearthstone teams.
