This is what it looks like when cab drivers get pissed about ride-hailing apps like Uber

As consumers, we’re used to seeing ride-hailing apps as a convenience. But to cab drivers, apps like Uber and Didi are a threat. We’ve seen protests from drivers all across Asia including more than a few in China.

But the latest example, from the central Chinese city of Xi’an, shows what happens when cab drivers take aim at consumer convenience. As you can see in the images below (which come via some Xi’an-based Sina Weibo users), taxi drivers congregated in a central area near the city’s ancient bell tower and made themselves into a massive traffic jam.
