Sienna Storm, a hand-drawn nonlinear PC thriller from Singapore, hits Kickstarter
A campaign for Sienna Storm, described as a “hand-drawn non-linear thriller game for PC by former Deus Ex and Bioware devs” where “street espionage meets star-chamber conspiracy” has just gone live on Kickstarter. And surprisingly enough, it’s by a Singapore-based company called Digital Knights.

Headquartered in Goldhill Plaza, Digital Knights Pte Ltd is just a year old. Yet this “self-funded indie studio” boasts on its website game developer veterans who have worked on titles like Deus Ex, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Fallout: New Vegas. And these boasts have not proven empty, with Deus Ex and Invisible War lead writer Sheldon Pacotti, Bioware game designer Tony Evans, and 18-year trading card game design veteran Darrell Hardy currently on board with the project.
Sienna Storm aims to raise $179,000. It has raised approximately $6,000 from 172 backers at time of writing, with 28 days to go in its campaign. In exchange for your support, Digital Knights has promised a “unique interactive comic-style video game”, with hand-drawn environments and characters, an engaging non-linear story set in modern day, multiple outcomes, a card game mechanic to enhance gameplay in action scenes, multiple branches of dialogue influencing your reputations in game, and of course, lots and lots of replay value.
Should the first stretch goal be met, audio maestro Alex Brandon, renowned for work on Unreal Tournament and Deus Ex, will come on board as well.
We’ve reached out to Digital Knights to learn more about the game and the company. But in the meantime, you can check the Kickstarter campaign out for yourself here.
