Indonesian health app Fita reported promising numbers for 2024, hitting positive EBITDA for three consecutive months starting February and logging a 30% increase in revenue from January to April compared to the same period in 2023.

The company, however, did not disclose specific figures or other details. In mid-2022, Tech in Asia reported that Fita had US$180,000 in annual revenue.

Fita, which provides exercise guides, healthy recipes, and custom workout plans from over 200 certified coaches. was established in 2021 by serial entrepreneur Reynazran Royono. His previous venture was Snapcart, a consumer analytics firm backed by Wavemaker Partners.

Fita’s investors include Indonesian telco giant Telkomsel, which injected US$1.9 million through its investment arm Indico in late 2022.

In a statement, Fita said it has over 3 million users. The company operates on a subscription model, offering plans that cost between 15,000 rupiah (US$0.93) to 400,000 rupiah (US$24.73) a month.

“By prioritizing product-market fit and leveraging Telkomsel’s assets and capabilities, Fita has developed a sustainable business model that not only drives profitability but also lays a solid foundation for our future innovations,” said Royono.

Moving forward, the company will ramp up its partnership with Telkomsel via initiatives such as Combo Fit Jamsostek, which would facilitate a collboration with Indonesia’s social security body. A joint program that would allow Fita to combine telecom services with health and fitness is also in the works.
