Endowus, a Singapore-based fintech firm, has launched Endowus Empower to help underrepresented groups with financial advice, support, and opportunities.
Founded in 2017 by Gregory Van and Samuel Rhee, the company provides digital advisory services for private wealth and public pension savings.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the startup is working with not-for-profit organizations such as the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Center and Access Singapore to create financial and social opportunities for firms in 14 categories, including animal welfare as well as children and youth.
Endowus will also be partnering with the Financial Women’s Association of Singapore and United Women Singapore to hold financial literacy workshops for women and work with community members to release gender-specific content.
In addition, the company has planned a content series dedicated to helping gig workers navigate the process of retirement planning.
Lastly, the firm is expanding its student financial literacy initiatives that have been running since 2019. It works with institutions such as the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and Singapore Management University.
The company had previously acquired a majority stake in wealth manager Carret Private after voicing plans to expand to Hong Kong.
