While adopting renewable energy has been a valiant goal for those in the climate tech industry, it is a lofty one, considering the amount of investment, coordination, and infrastructure required. This is why firms that prioritize energy efficiency, such as TablePointer, are a more immediate fix for sustainability.
With its plug-and-play solution, the Singapore-based firm primarily focuses on catering to businesses in the F&B industry.

“The F&B industry has been slow to adopt sustainability solutions due to perceived lack of rapid return on investment. TablePointer addresses this problem by offering a plug-and-play solution that provides immediate tangible savings and significant reduction in greenhouse emissions – without any upfront costs,” TablePointer chairman Steve Melhuish explained in a statement.
He added that the firm’s services have already been adopted by “small independent outlets as well as some of the largest most recognizable F&B chain brands.”
The startup was established by Jason Tang in December 2019 with product development, validation, and mentorship help from venture-building firm Engie Factory.
TablePointer will use the fresh funds to expand into other markets in the region as well as add new features and product modules to its offerings.
