ByteDance is reorganizing its management, placing the Singapore-based CEO of TikTok, Shou Zi Chew, in charge of its new social media app, Lemon8, The Information reported.

According to the report, which cited a source with direct knowledge of the reshuffle, Lemon8 head Stephanie Cheng is relocating to Singapore from Shanghai and will report to Chew instead of China-based ByteDance executive Alex Zhu.
Launched in the US and UK last February, Lemon8 is a video and photo-sharing platform similar to Pinterest, with users sharing lifestyle content related to beauty, wellness, food, and travel.
The app has caught on. It was ranked in the top 10 most downloaded apps on US app stores, seeing nearly 1 million downloads in the country from late March to early April alone, according to TechCrunch.
Besides TikTok, ByteDance has another popular video-editing platform called CapCut, which has also gained worldwide popularity.
