Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based blockchain gaming firm, said that it received A$184.4 million (about US$140 million) in bookings between January and September 2021, according to non-international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

The company did not disclose its financials for the same period last year.
The company’s other income, which includes gains on investments and digital assets, stood at US$529.6 million for the nine months. At the end of the period, it had a cash balance of about US$35.9 million and digital assets worth US$112.1 million in the form of Bitcoin, Ethereum, USD Coin, Binance USD, Binance Coin, and Tether.
The firm also had other liquid digital assets including holdings of third-party tokens, including Axie Infinity Shards and Flow, worth US$456.3 million.
Its total digital asset reserves stood at US$2.9 billion at the end of September, the company said, citing CoinMarketCap data. These reserves also include Animoca Brands’ own tokens like The Sandbox’s Sand, Revv, Tower, Gamee, and Lympo Market Token.
However, the company’s digital asset reserves were valued at about US$15.9 billion by November-end, Animoca Brands said.

In addition to its digital assets, the blockchain-gaming firm has a stake in Sky Mavis (the creator of Axie Infinity), Opensea (an NFT marketplace), and Dapper Labs (the creator of NBA Top Shot), among others.
In October, Animoca Brands raised US$65 million from a clutch of investors, including gaming firm Ubisoft and Sequoia China.
