Mini Seedcamp Singapore is a one day event aiming to connect the 20 best web-tech, mobile and software talent with some of the leading entrepreneurs, developers, and experts from the Asian and European tech ecosystems. Having its origins in Europe, Seedcamp is a seed fund which holds week-long mentoring and pitching events in London (Seedcamp Week) with one-day ones (like this Singapore event) as mini versions that are held beyond London, across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). This is Seedcamp’s first Mini Seedcamp in Asia.
Seedcamp the Seed Fund
At each Seedcamp Week, the best 20 teams (from all mini Seedcamps) participate and be exposed to a diverse mentor network of serial entrepreneurs, corporates, product designers, venture capitalists, recruiters, marketing specialists, lawyers and accountants that help the selected teams put together the foundations of a viable business.
After the week ends, Seedcamp will make the funding decision to invest up to €50K each in 5 teams for a small equity stake (8%-10%).

When: Tuesday 5th October 2010
Time: 9am-6.30pm
Where: Singapore Management University (exact location to be confirmed)

“We are basically looking for prototype / early product stage startups in the internet technology sector. Usually our teams are 2-5 people strong, with a majority from a tech background. If you have a look at our portfolio page and the blogposts from earlier events, you can see that we have a rather broad focus on anything from b2b to b2c that can scale in a meaningful way down the line. We encourage applications from all over the area, the best 20 companies will be selected and invited for a day of heavy mentoring with industry experts, investors, and entrepreneurs,” Philipp Moehring, Associate, Seedcamp.
