The online B2B marketplace works with retailers of beauty and wellness goods, directly connecting social commerce entrepreneurs to Southeast Asian brands. Founded by Hieu Nguyen Qui and Kim Ngan Vu, the company plans to expand to more product categories.

As it works with hundreds of entrepreneurs, Aemi aims to help negotiate wholesale prices with better purchasing power than individual sellers, it told TechCrunch. The company typically works with budding social commerce influencers who have around 10,000 to 30,000 followers.

Alpha JWC Ventures’ investment in Aemi comes after the VC firm raised US$433 million in the final close of its third fund late last year. The company said the investment vehicle secures its place in Southeast Asia as the region’s early-stage fund.

Other participants in the round include:

  • January Capital
  • Febe Ventures
  • Venturra Discovery
  • Angel investors
