The new capital adds to the US$6.3 million Kristal secured in March 2021, bringing its total raised funds to over US$27 million, the company said in a statement.
Kristal advises clients on highly personalized investment portfolios. The company said it has more than 50,000 individuals across over 20 countries on its platform, handling upwards of US$1 billion in assets under advisory and management.
Besides the funding round, Kristal also announced its application for an Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) license for expansion into the United Arab Emirates. The license is subject to approval by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).
Asheesh Chanda and Vineeth Narasimhan founded Kristal in 2016. They lead an over 180-strong team across Singapore, Hong Kong, India, and the UAE.
