Here’s a little peek behind the scenes: whenever I put together one of these newsletters, I’m usually plugged in and grooving to music. In fact, the Hall & Oates ‘80s hit Out of Touch accompanied every word I typed when I wrote this.
Each song I listen to might inspire the next one that plays, and this influences the writing as well. My process sounds a bit complicated, but it explains why I tend to make pop culture references in the newsletters I write.
