Last week, on 11-11-11, the day that triggered weddings and other celebrations, Tiket.com finally soft-launched its website. With all the great expectations on it because the PhaseDev team — well known for its knack making great products from Bouncity to WayangForce — masterminding the product, we’re finally getting closer to seeing the real thing.
Taking a great date to soft launch its product, Tiket is promoting itself by making a competition. You can win a trip to Bali and
Blitzmegaplex tickets just by liking the Facebook page and following the @tiket account on Twitter. With a total prize of IDR 30 million (US$3300) this is a pretty neat move by Tiket to get people to start talking about their site.
Tiket, as its name indicates, will be a one stop place to book tickets: plane tickets, hotels, movie tickets and even concerts. Although they are going to face tough competition for sure, the name and slick design, user interface and also a lovely user experience may make people choose Tiket as their first choice for booking things.
The site is rumoured to be officially launching around November 18, and Natali Ardianto (COO of Tiket) also told me that they have already finished a mobile site to be launched together with the desktop one. When asked whether there will be mobile apps soon, Natali said that might be delayed until some time next year.
We’ll keep you posted once we’ve heard about the official launch!
