The T-One building space is the San Francisco-based company’s second office in the region after its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore. Salesforce is looking to bring in 10 new hires in Thailand to support its local customers.

The move comes after a whitepaper projected that the firm could create 24,260 jobs directly and 33,570 jobs indirectly with its partners in Thailand by 2024, adding around US$1.6 billion to the local economy in the process.

The report also noted that the country’s cloud computing industry is expected to grow to US$578 million by 2024 from US$202 million in 2018. Meanwhile, spending on non-cloud software will increase by 3% over the same period.

Salesforce runs a CRM platform where multiple departments in a business can access centralized data of its users.

“Being able to work more closely with our customers in Thailand means we are able to support their growth, inspire innovation, and help them connect to their customers in whole new ways,” Sujith Abraham, Salesforce’s senior vice president for ASEAN, said in a statement.
